Visit McNeel’s Rhino download page and choose the evaluation for Windows or Mac. Check McNeel’s current system requirements before installing, then follow the setup instructions provided.

McNeel provides one evaluation per customer per major version. Activate Rhino with a purchased licence to continue saving files and using plugins after the 90-day evaluation; otherwise, those functions stop working when the evaluation ends. See McNeel’s evaluation terms for details.

Use the computer you intend to work on. If your workflow depends on plugins, check their operating system and Rhino version requirements separately.

Test it with your own work

Rather than trying every feature, focus on the tasks you need Rhino to handle:

• Modelling: build or edit a representative design, from initial geometry to finished surfaces.
• File exchange: import files from your current software and export in the formats your clients or collaborators need.
• Performance: work with a typical project to assess navigation, display and rendering on your computer.
• Plugins and Grasshopper: test the tools your workflow relies on, checking any separate trial or licence requirements.
