Find guidance for activating Rhino, organising studio access, upgrading or recovering licence details. Start with the situation that matches yours.

Getting Started with a New Licence

Choose how you will access Rhino: through your Rhino Account, on a single computer or through a managed network setup. Our Rhino licensing guide compares the options and links to the Rhino setup instructions.

Organising Company and Team Access

Keep licence administration under company control and give each employee their own Rhino Account sign-in. A Cloud Zoo Team can share eligible company-owned licences while administrators manage membership.

Read our company registration guide, Rhino Account guide or floating-licence guide for the relevant next step.

Staff Changes and Licence Ownership

Review team membership when colleagues leave. If a team uses automatic domain-based membership, coordinate access changes with your IT administrator as well as updating the team.

Recovering account access, changing licence administrators and transferring ownership are different requests. If a licence is associated with a former employee’s email, gather your purchase records and explain the outcome you need to CADWAX or Rhino support.

Our staff-leaver guide explains the planning considerations. Keep the existing Rhino Account intact while support helps resolve access.

Upgrading and Earlier-Version Access

Upgrade directly from an eligible previous paid Rhino version. Plan around active projects and specialist plugins using our upgrade guide.

For earlier-version access and permitted use, see the licensing guide. An upgrade continues your existing licence rather than adding independent concurrent seats.

Academic Licences and Teaching Labs

Individual academic licences and shared lab access serve different needs. Our academic eligibility and proof-of-status guide explains individual purchasing requirements.

For institutional deployment, start with our university lab licensing guide or educational licensing page.

Recovering Licence Details or Account Access

Use the Rhino support page to find licence-key lookup and support options. Have your purchase reference and registered email address available. Keep licence keys and account passwords private.

If you purchased through CADWAX, include your order reference when contacting us so we can help identify the purchase and direct your enquiry.

Talk to CADWAX About Your Setup

Tell us which licences you own, who needs access and what you want to change. We’ll help you find the right guidance.
