Rhino develops the geometry through NURBS, mesh and SubD modelling, including conversion of SubD forms to NURBS for subsequent CAD work. Bella then handles the visual character of the design through spectral light transport, layered materials and caustics. These are useful distinctions when a presentation depends on glass, coatings or light passing through water. Bella’s layered materials calculate interactions between a surface and its coating rather than simply blending appearances, while spectral calculations represent effects such as dispersion and wavelength-dependent materials. The bundle pairs a dedicated modelling environment with a renderer focused on the physical behaviour of light.

Bella’s floating licence covers the GUI, command line and Rhino plugin, with builds released within one year of purchase included; later builds require a new licence. Both keys are emailed automatically after checkout.

RhinoAI connects compatible AI assistants to your Rhino and Grasshopper document, giving you another way to create and modify geometry, automate repetitive tasks and develop scripts or parametric definitions through natural-language instructions. It complements the modelling tools, with editable geometry that you can inspect and refine yourself. A compatible AI assistant must be configured separately.
