Bella Render - Academic Licence

Create realistic visualisations with Bella Render’s spectral rendering, physically accurate lighting, glass and caustics at academic pricing. This perpetual academic licence includes material tools, the GUI, command line and plugins for Rhino, SketchUp and Maya. Floating activation allows you to use the licence on one machine at a time.

Bella calculates light transport in spectral space rather than relying solely on three primary colour channels. This allows it to represent optical effects such as dispersion, wavelength-dependent materials and iridescence with greater precision. Its caustics capabilities address demanding scenes such as sunlight passing through water or light sources enclosed in glass. Layered materials model the interaction between a substrate and its coating, including roughness, transmission and scattering, rather than simply blending two surface appearances. These capabilities are particularly relevant when the character of a design depends on transparent materials, surface finishes and the way light moves through a scene.

Bella builds released within one year of purchase are included, while later builds require a new licence. Current proof of academic status is required to qualify.
